WHEN WE MINED AT OJO LAGUNA

Back in the years 2015/2016 at the Ojo Laguna mines, in the Alianza claim, I had the opportunity to work alongside the claim owner and his four brothers in the state of Chihuahua. It was a remarkable experience to witness the natural stone in its matrix, collaborating with owners who have been there for more than three generations and still possess remarkable vigor. In the video, I mistakenly stated that the older brother, Manuel, was 68 years old, but in reality, he was 88. Yet, there he was, on the mountain, enjoying himself alongside his brothers.

The primary aim of our project was to impart knowledge to the local community, teaching them how to add value to this natural resource through the art of lapidary. Our goal was to establish a new industry and to extend invitations to people from all corners of the globe to come and experience the exhilaration of digging their own Lagunas.

It was a genuine privilege to have had the opportunity to work in this place with such remarkable individuals.
