Collector Expeditions
This year we are organizing a small collector expedition into the agate country of northern Chihuahua, visiting some of the most celebrated agate deposits in the world. These trips are designed for mineral collectors, lapidary artists, and anyone who appreciates the natural beauty and geology of agates and minerals.
Participants will have the opportunity to hunt for agates in historic and newly explored areas, learn about the geology that formed them, and experience the landscapes where these remarkable stones originate.
Our expeditions also include a journey through the Copper Canyon region, one of Mexico’s most dramatic natural landscapes. Along the way we explore desert mountains, volcanic terrain, and remote areas that have produced exceptional material for generations, giving you the opportunity to get your own rough material.
Because many of the locations we visit are private or difficult to access, tours are kept small and organized seasonally depending on weather and field conditions.
